MF 1225-45RE from PERLES of Switzerland, is a Specialised, robust hand held power tool, designed specifically to mill angled chamfers on both straight, curved and contoured edges on a variety of materials and profiles including bar, angle, tube, pipe, channel etc. The patented milling head has two cutters, both indexible, allowing over 400 metres of cutting per edge, in mild steel. It is designed to allow ‘high speed’, single pass operations in most materials whilst remaining surprisingly, easy and comfortable to use, with little vibration, good feedback to the operator.
The milling cutter is guided via a rotational replaceable guide bush, fitted with durable bearings to facilitate smooth operating and long life. The guide bush needs to follow the contoured edge of the chamfer piece, but will nevertheless operate on even quite thin materials.
